Kopenhagen – die Design-Hauptstadt
Es lohnt sich einen ganz besonderen Blick auf Kopenhagen zu werfen, denn nicht umsonst gilt die skandinavische Stadt als Design-Hauptstadt Europas. Viele kleine individuelle Läden, Streetart, lebensfrohe und stylish gekleidete Menschen, ein gemischtes buntes Durcheinander, das sehr viel Stil beweist. Nach der Blogger Konferenz The Hive bin ich noch in der mir verbleibenden Zeit etwas durch die Straßen von Kopenhagen gelaufen. An jeder Ecke wird das Auge aufmerksam und entdeckt etwas Ungewöhnliches. Vermutlich ist das in jeder fremden Stadt so, doch jedes Mal wieder bin ich von der Kreativität und Vielfalt von Kopenhagen begeistert.
Copenhagen – capital of design
It’s really worth having a closer look at Copenhagen and its designs and structures as Copenhagen is also known as the capital of design in Europe with its scandinavian style. Lots of individual shops, street art, stylish dressed people enjoying life – a colorful mixture and a cityscape rich of contrats.
After having attended the blogger conference The Hive on Saturday I walked around Copenhagen in the little time that I had left of a short weekend. At every corner something interesting caught my eye. Probably every city has to offer lots of unexpected surprises, but Copenhagen convinces me every time of its creativity and variety.
Schon die Architektur im Scandic Synhavn Hotel, in dem die Konferenz „The Hive“ statt fand, bot Gelegenheit für die ersten Fotos. // Already back at the conference in the Scandic Sydhavn hotel I took the first photos of the lobby.
Bei einbrechender Dämmerung lief ich weiter über die Istedgade nach Vesterbro, dort befinden sich viele kleine Boutiquen und Cafés sowie das mittlerweile sehr bekannte Szeneviertel „Meat Packing District“ mit vielen Restaurants und Bars. //
Dawn already broke over Copenhagen when I walked down over Istedgade to Vesterbro where a lot of small shops an cafés are located.
Die Istegade führt direkt zur Central H, dem Hauptbahnhof von Kopenhagen. Der Blick vom Eingang des Bahnhofes erinnerte mich mit seinem Blick auf die Gleise sehr an den Ausblick von der Warschauer Brücke in Berlin. Eventuell mögen die „Plattenbauten“ im Hintergrund und der Abfall auf den Gleisen nicht ganz schuldlos daran sein. //
The street Istedgade goes straight down to the central station of Copenhagen. The view one has from the entrance towards Vesterbrogade reminds me of the view standing on the Warschauer Bridge in Berlin. Probably the buildings with the looks of the 70ties and the dirt on the tracks where the main reasons thinking of Berlin and Warschauer Bridge.
Durch kleine Straßen in der Altstadt Indre By ging es weiter in Richtung Nyhavn. Ein Blick auf den alten Hafen darf bei keinem Kopenhagen Trip fehlen. Vor allem bei Dämmerung und den Lichtern sieht der Nyhavn sehr romantisch aus. //
Through some small streets in the old town Indre By I walked towards Nyhavn. Every time I travel to Copenhagen it is obligatory for me to get a glimpse of the old harbor of Copenhagen. Especially during dawn the lights look beautiful and romantic at Nyhavn.
Neben diesem eingerüsteten Haus, auf das ein Pfeil durch die zerrissen Bauplane geformt zeigt, sind in Kopenhagen allerlei andere Streetart Werke zu finden. Dabei auch unfreiwillig zur Streetart gewordene Hauseingänge und Fenster. //
Besides this house covered in plastic foil and forming an arrow pointing down the house, Copenhagen has lots of street art to offer and interesting looking doors and windows of shops that haven’t been meant to be street art in first place.
Die Brücke von der Innenstadt zum Stadtviertel Christianshavn hält dieses skurrile Bauwerk bereit, welches wunderbar futuristisch mit der abgerundeten Oberfläche erscheint. // On the bridge from Indre By to Christianshavn this interesting tower is located. With its rounded corner it looks almost futuristic even being already that old that the copper of the facade is oxidized.
Von der Station Christianshavn ging es zurück zu meinem Hotel dem Belly Sky. Der Architektur stehe ich von außen etwas zwiespältig gegenüber, ist diese nicht unbedingt skandinavisch puristisch und zeitlos sondern eher pompös und an die arabischen Emirate erinnernd. Doch auch hier zeigen sich faszinierende Strukturen vor strahlend blauem Himmel und im Inneren – vor allem im 17 Stock – ein phänomenaler Ausblick durch die bodentiefen und fast deckenhohen Fenster.
Auch wenn mein Ausblick zum Flughafen gerichtet war, genoss ich das Aufstehen bei Sonnenschein am nächsten Morgen, bevor es wieder zur The Hive ging. //
From the train station in Christianshavn I went back to my hotel the Belly Sky, a bit outside of the city center on the Amager island. Not without skepticism I see the architecture of the hotel from the outside. Instead of the typical scandinavian puristic and timeless design the hotel reminds me more of some pretentious hotel in the Emirates.
On the other side the structures that are visible at night and by day are also really nice and fascinating to look at. Especially from the inside the view is breathtaking standing at the surface low windows on the 17th floor. This way I really enjoyed waking up the next morning with sunshine and a great view to take the bus to The Hive again.
